Office 365 is a version of the Microsoft Office software suite that is hosted by Microsoft. This service is suitable for small and medium-sized businesses since it provides a low cost of entry and eliminates the need to operate in-house or private cloud servers.
Office 365 is widely accepted for business organisations however it should be recognised that it is a multi-tenanted hosted system and therefore it may not be compliant with the highest standards of Data Sovereignty required by certain types of organisations for example in areas of health, human services, welfare, government, education, defence, science, medicine and similar areas where there is a high level of data sovereignty required.
